The PowerEngine7 series of single-board computers (SBCs) based on the IBM PowerPC 750FX/GX processor delivers high performance and low power consumption. Employing the PowerPC 750FX/GX processor results in 50% more performance with 25% less power consumption than competing boards. This makes the PowerEngine7 ideal for demanding environments found in many military and severe environment applications. The PowerEngine7 meets the Thales Computers' technology insertion policy which offers customers a clear performance upgrade path while protecting long-term investments.
The features of the PowerEngine7 include:
· Single or dual PowerPC 750FX/GX processors operating at up to 1 GHz
· Extremely high performance at more than 1600 Dhrystone 2.1 MIPS
· Draws a very low 14W of power for the entire board
· 512 KB internal L1 cache clocked at processor frequency
· Includes up to 512 MB of SDRAM memory and up to 128 MB of Flash memory
· Two PMC slots (one PCI 64 @ 33/66 MHz, one PCI 32 @ 33 MHz)
· Utilizes 133 MHz Avignon host bridge system controller
· ALMA2e PCI/VME bus bridge provides the capability for 2eSST transfers
· 10/100BASE-T and optional 10/100/1000BASE-T Ethernet interfaces
· 4 asynchronous and 2 synchronous/asynchronous serial lines
· A bridgeless PMC carrier card is available to expand the 64-bit PCI bus on P0 increasing the number of slots to as many as four
· Support for VxWorks, LynxOS, Linux, and INTEGRITY
· Available in all ruggedization levels
· Supplied with Thales Computers’ PowerLine4 toolkit for platform management
