The PowerMP4-30 system features a small form factor rack, low price, and high performance and availability.
It allows the end user to start prototyping, evaluating technologies, and developing applications before easily porting to deployment systems.
A combination of PowerPC and Intel technology, the PowerMP4-30 system teams the advantage of the outstanding computing power-to-power-dissipation ratio of PowerPC technology with the wide spectrum of software tools available on PC platforms.
In addition, the PowerMP4-30 is offered in a range of ruggedization levels to suit the most demanding military and aerospace applications.

The PowerMP4-30 consists of a 19" 2U rack and 4 VME64x slots. Board configurations of up to 2 PowerPC G4 7457 CPU boards operating at 1 GHz for a total computing power of 30 Gflops, and a PENTXM board operating at 1.6 GHz are integrated and fully qualified.
The system's FPDP stage can perform data acquisition at 100 MB/s. The PowerMP4-30 includes MPI communications plus SNMP control and monitoring. The development tool set includes Spyker, Totalview and VSIPRO, among others.
The intel board is operating under Linux 2.4. The PowerPC cluster is proposed under, LynxOS 4.0 or VxWorks 6.1. A wide range of fully-integrated development tools (compilers, configuration management, debuggers, trace tools, etc.) are also part of the PowerMP software package.
