PMC-PIO
64 Channel Parallel I/O Interface Card
Download the Data Sheet (0.1 MB - pdf file)
The PMC-PIO is a PMC interface card providing 64 channels of 3.3V (5V compatible) parallel I/O. Each channel is independently programmed as an input or output channel. The default state of the board at power up is 64 input channels. Available in industrial, rugged, and conduction-cooled versions, the PMC-PIO resides on a 33 MHz, 32-bit, 3.3V or 5V PCI bus.
The PMC-PIO can function as a test card for a PMC site or as a standard PMC I/O board. When it is in test mode, the user can toggle each of the PCI interrupt pins by writing to a four-bit register. During normal operation, the board uses INTA# when generating an interrupt. The PMC-PIO may be programmed to generate an interrupt based on a level or edge on I/O channels 1-16.
The conduction-cooled version of the PMC-PIO routes the I/O to the PMC J4 connector. On the convection-cooled versions, the I/O is routed to a 68-pin front-panel connector.
