PENTX3
Single-Slot 6U VMEbus Pentium III-Based Processor Board

Download the Data Sheet (511 kb pdf)

The board is designed around the Intel Pentium III Mobile Module that includes a 500 MHz Pentium III processor, a 256 KB L2 cache, a 440BX Northbridge support chip set to control the processor bus at 66 MHz, and a thermal sensor with programmable trip points. A 33 MHz PCI bus provides access through both Ethernet and SCSI interfaces. The board also supports one 32-bit PCI Mezzanine Card and a PCI Expansion Connector to a PMC Carrier Board.

Key design and construction features of the PENTX3:
· System memory is available in configurations of 64, 128, or 256 MB of SDRAM operating at 133 MHz. All SDRAM is soldered on the board.
· Video capabilities range from VGA resolution (640 x 480) with 16M colors to XGA resolution (1280 x 1024) with 256 colors.
· Ethernet interface supports 10BASE-T and 100BASE-TX, at full and half duplex, via the backplane connector.
· The SCSI interface supports 8-bit, Ultra SCSI with up to 20MB/s synchronous transfer rates.
· AGP graphics interface with 4 MB SDRAM
· Two EIA-232 serial ports, two EIA-232/422/485 serial ports, and one USB port.
· Error checking and correction memory
